SCREENSHOTS OF THE MONTH SEPTEMBER 2008

Welcome to the monthly contest admissions thread!!

Autumn's here for much of our member base...the summer's over... but the awesome screenart just keeps on coming!! Who and what will be nominated this month?? Let's see...

The aim is to choose the very best screenshots/screenart from each FS forum in the last month and display them in our permanent gallery.

Here: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1189098583

Rules:

1.
You can submit 3 shots of your own, and an UNLIMITED* NUMBER OF PICS BY OTHER PEOPLE.

*
Unlimited = 'within reason' i.e. 10 or so is okay...not 5, 372... Wink  Cheesy

That way, people who are really keen to participate and contribute are free to do so and can 'cover for' those who for whatever reason don't get round to it.... Smiley

2. You don't have to nominate all pictures at once,
just keep adding them TO YOUR ORIGINAL POST
using the edit button.

3.      Submit the pictures as links without image tags, or if you feel like it, thumbnails. Do not submit full images! New image size guidelines apply.

4.
Write next to the image who made it, and if it is F, P or E (Freeware, Payware or Edited).

eg               IMAGE by 737-900pwnsA321aniday   E
       IMAGE by me      P
       IMAGE by SquirrelzRnutz   F
       etc.... Smiley

5.The admissions thread will close officially at midnight on the last day of the month and the gallery team will knock up three polls, one for each of the screenshot forums.

6. This competition is for members, and if no one nominates anything the contest will disappear. Not everyone likes contests...but those of you who do need to get involved.
 Smiley

We're aiming for around 80 nominations - i.e. 16 people nominate five shots each... so don't hold back and NOM-IN-ATE!!

That’s it. Let’s hope we get to see the best of the best from all three FS screenshot forums!

Happy nominating!!

The Gallery Team

Great nominating so far lads!!

The screenshot gallery has now been updated with August's winning shots. Forget Warhol, that's 30 days of fame...and then a place in the gallery for all eternity, or pretty darn close to it...

Had some luck with a few helicopter shots...see freeware for the full set...here are the 3 best;

(These came from acceleration and I can't remember if that's classed as payware or freeware in this case, so if I call these payware and they're freeware, sorry... Grin)

Shocked   Sounds like you've got your gruds in a twist there mate...

Would the 'ton of crud' being exploring Au Green by any chance? Not very flattering but still.... understood  Wink

No, it's finishing an Au Blue airstrip I'm making while dealing with the excitement of this topic:

http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=5821.0

(read it all, or most of it, and you'll see what I mean) I only have AU Blue downloaded right now though.

Apparently it's cause I'm a 13 year old with a good attitude Smiley.

Honestly, I have an autistic brother that beats me, I can afford to be nice to anyone Smiley.

And also, the airfields I'm doing are freeware, right now is Cowell and then when the green colour matching SDK is released I'll do Osborne Island, already got most of the stuff in place for both.

cowell will be in 1.2 possible for the OZx freeware package.

Alright, Soui and Waspi are in! Thanks guys! I'm off to Orbx to retrieve AlexDZ's votes  (Grin) and then the Freeware comp should be going up in about an hour!

That leaves edited. Not like MrJake2002 to forget, hope he's okay. Mustang doesn't spend much time on this site...looks like I'll be standing in for him again. If ANYONE who is not already involved would like to be a judge of the edited comp, please post to that effect here (so people know the position is taken) and send me your votes by tomorrow night... Yeah, another guy offered to buy me YMML as well  Huh.

I'm off to do some homework, that way I can work more on Cowell later on  (while not really working on it and exploring Green and Gold).

There's a lesson here for all the agressive, pwnage obsessed teens and indeed people of any age - watch AlexanderDZ... and learn.  Smiley
