Any thoughts of the CaptainSim 757 for FS9, I'm thinking of getting it soon. Wanted to know if it is any good.

If you have a modest system, don't waste your money, because it will DESTROY your framerates.

It is also kinda buggy now, from what I've seen.

It's a great piece of gear in my opinion but takes a little research to learn how to use the auto pilot with their new Block F out, once you figure that it out its a blast to fly.

It is still buggy though, your autobrakes engage on their own in the middle of a flight and can't be disengaged until you land and come to a complete stop, and now it seems whenever I bring up ATC I crash to the desktop, but I think that's a local issue with my machine.

Before Block F came out it was great and easy to fly, so to start I would just get the 757-200, just make sure you have at least a mid level graphics card if you plan to use the VC as it will plummet your frames and turn all scenery into a glob of green and brown goo if you are using a lower end card.  I have a geForce 8500gt and it works terrific.

Once the update comes out from captain sim and they fix this issue it will again be my favorite plane to fly.  The sound is terrific, the VC is gorgeous (lots of eye candy) and it comes loaded with bells and whistles!

I personally like the Posky 757, but I don't have the Cap Sim 757.

The Captain Sim's is definitely better in all aspects! I own FSX version, and have no FPS hit at all, especially when the Block F upgrade is installed.

If you can fly the Boeing 767, you can fly the Boeing 757, their panels are more or less alike.

And if you can operate a Boeing-style FMC, you can operate a 757 autopilot. Wink
