Well, I was fooling around in gMax, and I thought, "I could probably make a plane for FS11 by just getting everything I know prepared and a model ready to be exported, and then when FS11 comes, I'll have a great plane for the community".

So I'm now making an F-22, and it currently is a block, I'll slice up some of it later, saving after every detail.

I'm wondering though, if anyone could make a Panel, FDE's, and sounds :S.

I can make the textures and the model, as that's what I'm going to learn.

I'll post some screens of the 3 way views I have later on.

This also will hopefully have thrust vectoring since I think it should be in FS11.....

Cheers!

So what will you do if they decide to change the entire FS format for the next installment?

Don't mean to be a worry-wort, but it can happen.  Don't count your chickens before the loose lips sink ships . . . er something . . .

That's the thing, I'm just going to make the model in GMAX, and then use the source code from the next one to export it.

Even if it goes wrong, it will have the main part out of the way.

I thought this through last night at 11:00, as I was having trouble to go to sleep, and I'm still thinking about it Tongue.

You could say that about any exisitng model..just re-export the basic under the new SDK...but it's not that simple.

If it was then that would be being done with FS.9 into X.

The reality is they are very different and that might be the case for FS.11

Panels FDE and sounds can't even be thought about until the FS.11 SDK is availiable

If you want to make an aeroplane then why not make it for the current sim....that's hard enough.
