IMHO, I've noticed no performance hit, even with 4096 clouds!

However, I'd hold off a few weeks and compare FEX with the upcomming Real Environment Xtreme.

Why bump???

I already told you that I've had no performance difference with FEX compared to default. I've seen many people in the FEX forum saying the same thing as well - it's a great addon Grin
