Man i love Orbiter. My favorite addon for it is the Delta Glider IV. Easily the best freeware vehicle EVER!

No question. I always seem to blow it up though. I land to hard and break the gear, or exceed the hull temp., or get into an unstable orbit or something. I'm good with the shuttle though.
Can do a whole mission.

On the DG IV, just press alt+6, it puts you in a perfect orbit.

Orbiter is a great sim... and best of all it`s free!!
farthest i ever got from earth was mars... did manage to make it back though
I only wish it would run on triplehead resolutions...
is it still in the 2006 version?? or has there been an upgrade?
i`m just waiting for my saitek x52 to play it properly... omg that`ll rule!!
Cheers

I know about the autopilots, but once I'm there, I still manage to screw it up some how.
And yes, it is still the 06 version.

I have a whole bunch more Orbiter shots. I took them with the intensions of documenting this full mission, but I never got around to posting them. Would anyone like me to post them?

Orbiter is better played with the num pad, as all the thrusters are aliased to those already (and, its a pain to assign new ones)

Thanx for the link! This thing is awsome! and pretty damn hard too!
Tons of addons it seems, are the higher res textures worth the performance hit, or is there a hit at all? Looks like I should be able to run them based off of the requirements. Thanx again.

Looks great.
About to download it myself.
1) Is it hard?
2) Does it take long to get to mars?
3) Is the high res downloads below the base back download worth downloading?
4) Does it have sound?
Nice shots
