As you may or may not know, I am part of the 'TDV' clan on Xbox Live... A clan about 8 or so strong, until today when 4 people decided to join us.

Because the currently official leaders are on holiday I have control for the clan whilst they are away and it seems some people have been invited into the clan by another member!

Upon asking (and getting much grief) it seems the person that allowed them to join said he owned the clan... WHAT?! Upon asking that member he said he said he was the leader, then upon repeat asking he said that someone else (the second in command, I am third) had allowed them to join- but this person is on holiday for 2 weeks.

I tried contacting these newbies asking them to leave and they all think they were allowed to join. Now because they don't know me (a reason why it is a clan for our friends) they are refusing to budge. The person who invited all these people has also created his own clan, TDV.

Our TDV = The Deadly Virus  (Not sure how we got that, it was random)
Their TDV = The Dark Velocity

So they are using our clan tag and are trying to recruit for their own purposes.

What is a man to do before the others come back from holiday? No doubt they will be either completely confused or rather naffed off at this.

You  obviously dont have the power to boot members from the clan I guess thats down to who ever set the clan up in the first place.
I would say there is nothing you can do so it's beyond your control.
Try contacting xboxlive for more information.

Try to contact the gaming sever (Live) and tell them the story they might take action against these other guys and give them a warning to knock it off Wink that's what we did when my clan try to get copied by a bunch on noobs who kept bragging about how good they are then we pwnd them with us having 2 and them have 4 lol Grin Grin

It's down to the members to change their name. It isn't the sort of 'click to join' thing... we all spent Ł3 to change our gamertags on Xbox Live so that it had TDV in it.

I've contacted all these new members informing them that they weren't officially allowed in and that we will take action if they persist. I mean, this is a clan for our friends and when they don't even tell me who they are (for all I know they could go to my school if they are a contact of someone else in our clan). Really, really annoying to see. The more official leader is currently on his way back home now.  Roll Eyes

I will email xbox.com now.

Cheers for the advice.

Those extra fellas are now resorting to nit picking at the rest of us... which when you consider that these players probably don't even know which town or region I live in and then suddenly know my name and all about me, it is a bit disturbing that someone from my own school who was originally part of our little group would go and do something like that.
