I finally replaced my old Dell with new (and WAY better) computer this weekend and I am finally able to max out my graphics on FS9 and really see it's potential.  What a difference!!!!!

What I am looking for is to liven it up a bit with some realistic scenery to install, mainly environmental scenery to make everything look as real as possible.

I have Flight1 Ground Environment (payware) transferred off my old machine, and it looks terrific, but I want more detail in the mountains and sky and such, getting greedy now that I have a machine that delivers quality...  any personal recommendations/reviews from the SimV crew?  I fly both low and slow GA as well as high and fast airliners...

Semper Fi!!

Justin

If you're looking for more detailed scenery, I would recommend Ultimate Terrain. I have it for FSX, and it's great Cool

It contains accurate roads, landclass, corrected coastlines, enhances lighting environment, and more

You're talking about the payware from flight1 right?  I think I almost got that when I was purchasing Ground Environment.

Thanks, I'll look it into, seems like a worthy purchase, gonna have to wait before purchasing though, just bought my computer so now I have to spend some money on the wife before I get more toys.

Any freeware recommendations based on personal experience out there?

If you're into the photo-real stuff, head over to Blue Sky. Available for download here at SimV. (Search for Gottfried Razek)  Limited coverage, but the high-res stuff is like flying over Google Earth. I like it.

Justin,

Since you are already started down the payware route.......

For payware terrain mesh (shape of the surface....ie craggier mountains) stop over to FSGenesis.  I have their mesh for the whole world installed in fs9; awesome.  Now that fs9 is the "old" sim... the fs2004 stuff is cheaper.

Add Flight Environment to the Ground Environment Pro.  Well worth it.

And start adding FlyTampa's airports....with Aerosoft's AES services on top of them.

best,
