It was simpler than I thought, I went throught pdtoot tutorial and then  I recently downloaded an f111 which uses the same cockpit. and simply copied the entire panel file over the top of the corrupt one in the a-10

Works like a dream so far the hud, the mfd, all the guages are working now. 

I dont know if I have the rights to upload or refer directly to that file but I did get it from this site
