I am thinking of getting my first payware aircraft some time soon. I was thinking something military such as a BAe Hawk (perhaps the AJT, isn't it?) or even an oldie such as a Spitfire.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some good military aircraft producers? I would like something made for FSX (I have SP2 and Accel.) so that it does actually work instead of a copy from FS9 which typically has something lacking in the aircraft quality I have found.
So who are some good military aircraft producers?
Anything else I should look out for?
Any other good producers for aircraft or scenery?
Where is this very popular Kai Tak scenery coming from?
Cheers

Can't say about the military payware, I'm a commercial jet junkie myself.
The Kai Tak scenery was recently released by FlyTampa.

Well it is all good. Who do you typically lean towards for your commercial wares? In the future I would no doubt love to have a few really decent commercial aircraft too.
And thanks. Hmm, £20... that doesn't sound too bad. I am loving the St Maarten pack on their site too. That higher ground and close to sea runway looks like good fun

Alphasim is the best out there for Military... and most of their add-on's in recent months have a fully seperate FSX model with all the nice features that DX10 allows!
While still offering a very high quality FS9 model
...
Some of the older products won't be 100% FSX compatible, but most of the better ones are!

RealAir Spitfire pack for FSX just ROCKS
Shockwave (A2A now?) are also good.
Captain Sim produce superb quality kit (I've got all of their stuff in my collection).
Just Flight seem to be doing some good stuff at the moment as well. Got to get my paws on their new Mossie package
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Naturally am bias but if you want best bang for buck + naturally the best in terms of realism (to the numbers fly with the aircraft manual flight models) and mega eye candy mixed with true sound engineer sounds (good sound system needed to get the best outta these babies) then why not give us a look over.
On a different note, it depends what you want, unlike FS9, FSX has not currently got much reproduction. So if you want a late war spitfire you could go Real Air, if you want early war you could come over to A2A. I suggest having a good think about what your after as it may well dictate who you buy from. Oh yes and naturally try to read reviews or give the developers forums a visit so you know exactly what you will be getting.

For a small plane, Aerosoft's FS2004 Super Cub, for only $9, it works great in FSX, with SP1 & SP2. You can see it if you click the link in my sig, I'm running it with FSX SP2.

Are you having a laugh! Abacus haven't made a new model in my lifetime. Some very good utilities, but aircraft no.
Just Flight are the portover kings taking things from 2002 and bunging tem into any sim they can. Again I am not knocking them for what they produce but FSX specific I think not.
Captain Sim make some of the finest software out there butte others are also rans
Come on stop just throwing names up there and give the guy a chance
