Hello everyone,I'm just wondering what is the standard proceedure or the safest proceedure to take multiple screenshots whilst on a flight, for example I press Print Screen on my computer, and it captures the shot, but I then need to save that shot (example:Go out of FS2004,and save it in paint or something in order to keep that shot, and take another).

So I'm just curious how do most of you capture several shots and save them whilst also keeping the sim running safely.?

fraps works, and it's SS's are pretty high quality at a low file size (mine normally go around 120KB)

FSScreen. Google it. Also you might want to ask Harold as he has another program worth looking into. Wink

Well if you talking about the FSX Sim it's very simple. Every time you press the V key you will capture a screen-shot and it will be stored by default in your FSX Screen-shot folder in the My Pictures directory as a bitmap.  You have to resize them and convert them to a jpg file before you upload the to this site. Guidelines are posted on the Simviation upload site. You can take them on the fly or paused. If paused make sure you press the V key when the red paused type is not flashing. In FS2004 Sim you need to use a third party screen capture program to take consecutive shots. Google is your friend.

Thanks everyone for FSScreen, just the type of program I was after,do you just extract the FSScreen.exe to the Desktop, run the exe, then run FS2004,for example you have to have FSScreen running when FS2004's running?

*Thinks to myself,Those guys on SimV are such a friendly bunch.* Grin Cool Tongue Kiss

lol

Also it will work on Windows *Cough* Vista right?

What you do is create a screenshot folder and put the fsscreen.exe in it... run fsscreen and run the sim  it'll save the shots at the location of the fsscreen.exe   Afterwards I process the BMP's into JPEG's using Irfanview

Good luck!

Thanks Souichiro and everyone that replied, you're an awesome help, and don't worry I won't ask you what Irfanview is,I already have that and Photoshop 7 to edit my shots, hehe.

Time to show you guys what a "REAL" FS Screenshot should look like. Grin

FSscreen is good but having to resize every picture before you post anywhere is a pain. Try the snapper http://www.ovosoft.net/snapper/ ever since I got it I've never looked back  Cool
