I was really looking forward to this years A1gp. It was going to be the rebirth of one of the best looking and certainly best performing F1 cars of all time. Sure it would lack the sound and redness of the F2004 but it was still going to look very simmilar.  It was already over 8 seconds a lap faster than the previous A1GP car thus proving its worth.
And now thanks to some, corporate suit, the designers have gone and p*ssed all over a ferrari master piece.

I can only assume Rory Byrne was out of the office the day they decided to do this, because I cant imagine he'd have let it happen. Cry

It's been interesting seeing teams add them in F1. They must add a couple of sq ft of advertising space to sell.

bingo, thats the only reason they have the anvil wing. It's true benifits are minimal. It's biggest upside is the fact it creates, upwards of $100,000 + worth of sponsor space.

This is a touchy subject with smaller teams in F1 right now. With F1's new rules removing all these pieces, and making the wings smaller, teams like williams are looking at a huge loss in sponsorship space and money.
