Mike Stone is a aircraft creator who had enough of the insults and quit.  His planes were on the basic side, with simple visual models and panels, but performed quite well on even low end computers.  I have almost all of his aircraft, some only he has made for FS.

Yeah, its hard to not let the criticisms get to you.  I'm sure many designers have quietly slipped away because of that.  As a firefighter, we see that a lot too.  Yeah we put the fire out, but why did we get stuff wet in the process.  Roll Eyes

No.  The download is in the first post, the link in the third post is a review (favorable) to M. Stone's work.

The down load was confusing at first, since I was looking for a list of aircraft to choose from.  The download is all of them in a zip file.  The whole shee-bang. I moved it into it's own directory. All the aircraft are in there with each one stored as an auto installer to your FS9.  I install them in a temp file and manually install them.  But that's just me, and your mileage may vary. Smiley

I grabbed nearly all of them shortly after stumbling upon his site. Then the criticisms came along and he closed up shop. I don't know if you can still download his stuff, but I've got mine. Thank You, Mike...

There's a dirty joke in there somewhere,  Grin .
It is sad Mike quit. I too like his models. I have a few of them and fly them from time to time. I really hate it when someone takes the time to make a model and then offers it anyone that wants it, only to be shot down for it by 'some' people. If you don't like it, uninstall it. It only cost a few minutes time to download. The planes are free!
I see nothing wrong with offering suggestions, if you think something could be improved. Heck I doubt Mike minded that very much. Some statements were totally uncalled for though.

I am sure a lot of us (probably all of us) have downloaded a plane we just didn't like, for whatever reason. Thankfully most of us don't post nasty comments about them though. Mike seemed to get an unfair share of those type post, I never understood why either. His work certainly did not deserve it, not by a long shot.
