I am designing with Gmax for FS9. I have created a scenery  with a huge part that should be visable for at least 110km. The part stops displaying at about 34km out from the Scenery center. Using flight anaylasis this happens at 34km which ever direction I fly away from the center. My guess is it is a limit of the sim itself. My question is: Can it be edited to a larger display radius by editing something in one of the sims configure files?

I have tried re making the part using FSDS2 And the display distance seems to be a 25km maximum so I may be wrong about the prob being a sim limitation. Any opinion welcome.

Is the part textured?

I have found in the past (trying to create large objects) that FS doesn't like showing anything large from any distance.  This is probably to conserve memory usage, since it would have to grab scenery from a longer distance away to display it in any way.

I'm pretty sure there is a fix out there, but I can't remember what it was or even if it actually works.
