What would you say is the best FS9 firefighting effect?  I would prefer the red retardant, but just a good water version would be okay.

I have one, but it falls forward of the aircraft instead of behind it.  Not very realistic, is it?

I was experimenting with making a 747 smoke bomber and used the red smoke effect from the Pitts Special and just made several lines where the "smoke" appeared a little lower and farther behind than the line above it.  I'm still not satisfied with the effect, however.  The trail persists too long.

Yeah, I could see that happening, but it doesn't fall to the ground.  It's way too buoyant.  I want something heavy that will fall like water, but is red.  I remember having that for FS2k2, but I don't know where it went.

Which smoke bomber are you using with the effects showing up in front of the aircraft?  It's probably just a tweak of the .cfg.

Well, I found the effect file I wanted.  It was FS2k2, but works fine in FS9.  I think I found it over at NoNodes.  Just search firefighting or water bombing, I think.

It isn't that the stuff is appearing in front of the aircraft.  It's that the stuff doesn't lag behind the plane while it falls.  No matter how fast you're going, it falls directly down in a vertical column.  I was wondering if there was another one out there that fell and blew with wind/speed/etc like a real water bombing run would work.

I'm sure this is possible in FSX, but I want it for FS9.
