Anyone know where I can buy this? I'm about to get the new Ellie ND display which appears to be able to show the SA_WXR display as an overlay (may have that bit wrong!).

Cheers for any links you can post,

Ian

Ian,

Rumor has it that Florian has "closed shop" on SA_WXR........ which is a REAL kick in the teeth if it is true.

best,

Hiya John!
Yeah I heard that too.  Apparently he was giving it away a little while back but his web site's now gone.

I managed to grab a copy of the WXR2100 .gau file but I've no idea how to use/configure it coz there's no support files, just a gauge.

I need to somehow configure it's bitmap output so it'll be available to the new Ellie Systems ND that's out any day now.

Cheers all the same!

Ian,

Crap....... giving it away!  Makes me feel bad that I paid for it.  Oh well.... got to use it for longer.  I never did get the last version..... one point seven I think it was.  I'm on 1.6.  And I understand that it still has problems.

As to the Ellie ND interface....... I think they are working on that issue right now.  SA-WXR was the onlly stand alone weather radar on the market....so someone will likely step in and plug the hole now.  Problem is for those of us who are still on FS2004.  Likely a new version will be for FSX.

I think the one you have is for installation in a "simulated" panel in an aircraft..... not stand alone, I think.  How to access that image is the question.  Maybe the image can be "pointed to" via the Ellie ND code?  Don't know.

Anyway........... we'll all get this stuff figured out eventually in our quest to turn a $60 piece of software into a $6,000,000 simulator.   Wink

best,
