Hello Chums...

Its a fantastic, sunny day outside at the mo' in England, and a little Cessna 152 has just floated slowly over my back garden...as they do...
..so what do I do..?
Load up my FS2004, select my Trusty Cessna 150 Aerobat, pop myself into California's Central Valley in one of my favourite grass runways (4CA2), select Real Weather (just as Sunny there as well!), and quietly tootle around at 800 feet ASL admiring Gerrish Grey's Autumn Trees and the glorious VOZ scenery and objects!

...nothing fancy, of course, just a chance to share the joys of low and slow flight in one of Mr. Cessna's fantastic Trainers/Tourers in sunny California!...

Saw your flightplan listed on the SimV FS server.... Cheesy

With as many cigar tube screenshots posted, it's always nice to see screenshots of bugsmashers flyin' around.... Wink

On a side note, it seems that screenshots with jets in them seem to get more comments than screenshots of props. Anyone else notice this, or is it just me...?

The thing I love about the little "Bug Smashers" is the ability to have loads of fun popping from one grass/dirt airstrip to the next, at low altitudes and just admiring the surrounding scenery slowly unfolding around me...

...something which is not possible in large, complex, shiny, jet-propelled, passenger Cigar Tubes... Wink

The largest/fastest plane I ever fly in FS 2004 is my trusty Beech Baron 58 when I really want to cover some distance reasonably fast... Shocked

So true. I love being able to hop into an aircraft, flip a few switches, set mixture/propellor controlls, fire it up, taxi out to the runway while watching out for the occasional bugsmasher doing pattern circuits, and taking off to fly wherever I want

So much more relaxing that going through a long, complicated startup checklist, and than navigating through busy airports and busy airspaces, ect

Not that I don't occasionally fly an IFR flightplan with a small business jet, but I usually avoid large commercial airliners Wink

If I do want to fly something big, I'll fly a B-17/24, DC-3/4/6, B-247, ect. Being able to complete an IFR cross country flight in one of those is so much more challenging and rewarding than an aircraft with a glass cockpit, GPS, and a fancy autopilot that will fly and navigate the aircraft for you Grin
