As I understand it, in default FSX, on startup the AI will be loaded for the world even though I may be starting at KBUR. I understand that the gate code is a bit of a bottleneck for the processor and that using an add-on like WOAI will improve this situation.

Now, the main question - I started by d/l and installing WOAI packages just for the US as that is where I mainly fly. I did NOT convert FS9 format files so I understand that the default AI will be disabled. Does this mean that if I fly in other countries I will have NO AI?

#2 - Assumin that the answer is YES I will have NO AI in other countries - if I d/l and install the packages for other parts of the world (some 200+ of them) will this then give me a performance hit?

Thanx,

Vic

all ai give a performance hit, i think , correct me if i am wrong, that the gate info is not enabled in the WOAI or PAI planes so the gates wont move, which helps with FPS. And the only airports that FSX default ai wont show up at are ones that the new  unconvereted plans start or land at. And the reason why the default ai cause such a FPS hit is because most of them arent just ai planes, they are the ones you fly used as ai.
