Deliberated over this months competiton for some time - mainly trying to find the right aircraft!!!! Thought about faffing more till near the end of the month with various other Luftwaffe aircraft but then what happens if youve still not got it 'how you want it!' And the lack of Heinkels, Dorniers, and Stukas reduced my options a bit!

Had several goes at various scenarios, heres two i liked the most but were not quite what i was after, if that make sense....i was certain it had to involve the Battle of Britain though, as thats what the Spitfire is remembered for along with the Hurricane. In my view anyway!

LOL!! Thanks m8, but i do beleive in going that extra mile when its a contest, although i do now spend quite a bit of time with all my shots before i post any. I hope that shows in the results - But i only do that because the quality is so high here and i dont think im quite there yet Sad

Its tempting to just leap in with the first aircraft you find, but i (alarmingly Grin) sit down and think about it, trawl sites like this for various aircraft and only when ive found what i consider to be 'the best of the best'  within the limits of the contest (in my view anyway) do i then transfer to a bit of research on the theme or subject and indeed the aircraft itself.

I always generaly compose the shot and try out loads of angles before even attempting to add weather, and then going through many 'dawn' 'day' and 'dusk' settings before then tweaking the angles more to compensate for lighting.

Generaly (especialy with this theme) i junk it all and start again because the shot that jumps out and screams 'IM THE ONE YOUR GOING TO USE!!' doesnt happen.... Sad Its great when it does though.

I maybe get to involved - but thats just me! It got me nowhere last month but then i did let my mrs choose the final shot and that, i think, was my big mistake! Grin Grin

Definitely not "rejects" in sense of quality! Lets just call them, "un-used"

Dont think I can come up with anything even close to that!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Hi Horse

I pretty much do the same when the shot is for the contest. One of these months maybe I'll hit pay-dirt. Thank you for the nice comment on my entry this month. I really like yours also. I'm sure it will be in the top ten. If I'm not there you got my vote.
