I never used to fly airliners, but ever since I started on the long path to becoming an airline pilot, I've gotten more and more into flying them. Freeware has kept me quite satisfied for now, but I'm craving something a little more "advanced".
Can anyone recommend some good tubeliners? I'm most interested in short/medium haul planes (737's, A320's, etc.), not so much long-haul. I'd prefer one with a really nice VC, though it wouldn't be a deal-breaker if it didn't have one, and it must run smoothly on my low-end PC.
Thanks for any recommendations!

PMDG 737......the most realistic airliner add on made for FS. VC is ridiculously pretty, especially at night, but has quite a frame rate impact. Almost all the systems are modeled from the official Boeing manual and it takes a while just to lean how to start it up, let alone program the computer and sort out all the systems.....

I find PMDG 737 getting old now. Look at the Wilco 737, and Wilco ERJ, as well as PMDG MD-11 / 747.

Blasphemy, PMDG never gets old!
Recommendations from me:
CLS A330/A340 (Easy to learn, easy on frames)
And for the more daring side of you...
PMDG 737 (Hard to learn, but easy to master)
PMDG 747 (See above, if you have the money to burn, as it is not exactly cheap)
SSTSIM (Makes transatlantic a medium haul, but has quite a learning curve, and is pretty difficult to master, but really, it IS Concorde...)
Course, all three are a bit heavy on the frames.

Im also going to add to the above with the Flight One 727 if you like a little hands on flying (its superb!) and the Flight One Dc-9/MD-80/Super 80 whatever its called!
Beautifully done, and a little different on the 'fmc' side of things as the MD-80 has its own, somewhat older, version of it and its nice to use and fly! Has a good system of checklists and scenarios, as well - well worth it!

Personally I'm waiting for the new flythemaddog virtual cockpit to come out, which comes out within month, also with updated systems... and also waiting for MD-11 which should go beta soon.
