Is anyone interested in doing a couple of custom repaints of exisiting aircraft? Specifically, a Cessna, a Lear and jumbo jet? (and maybe a chopper?) All in the same scheme.

Mick no buddy would be interested to repaint a model that YOU want .

see , when a repainter makes his works its always because he likes the plane , or because he takes that decision from his own will, Unless you offer him something a gift or money or post the plane the wonders of this plane SHOW SOME OF  THEIR ATTRACTIONS IN THESE PLANES AT LEAST ,something to encourage someone, but in this way its dificult to find someone that shows here and say

hey I want to do it!! Cheesy  Unless you post some shots you know give some more candy at least, talk about the planes How Great they are ,You know things like that  , and you said 4 planes  Shocked

Ahhhh,...OK. Being somewhat new to all this, I wasn't sure how this worked.

See, I have a strong background in transport simulations and have been quite active over the years with a product called "Trainz" by a company named Auren.

There are many, many railroads throughout the world, and frequently, the talented designers of freeware (who, like the artistic people on the FSX Forums), post their creations for others to enjoy. Sometimes someone will design a livery (the company's color scheme) that someone requests.

Occasionally, someone will take the time and maybe do a loco (or some other piece of rolling stock) for someone, but it certainly is well understood that it's done at the creator's whim and out of the "goodness of one's heart." (Yes, there are some payware creators that will do whatever you want but then again that's a customer thing).

I just thought if someone wanted a spare time, tinker-around, rainy day scheme to play around with, I thought I'd ask.

No harm, no foul. Thanks for the input.

Some still do this sort of thing. It not only gives a sense of satisfaction in knowing you made someone else's day by tackling their request, but you also learn new things along the way that can be used to improve your technique. Right now I have a fair number of projects outstanding (one being scenery for Albany NY, which coincidentally is being done at someone's request) - once they are cleared away and if you are still interested I would be happy to help out. Wondering what sort of scheme is in order...

Sent you all 4 via e-mail. Not looking for any writing on the planes (like airline names, etc) just a letter & numeral on the tail.
