Hi all,

I am new to the flight sim world and would love for someone to help me find or make a FS2004 version of a friends real life baron. I have attached a picture. I have many more pictures if someone is willing to help.

I guess you mean me Cheesy

Yeah i had a look, but the problems im having with similar lines on the king air (on the engines) that i still havent cracked made me think twice before i jumped in and said 'ill have a go at a repaint!!'

And that tail line looks tricky as anything!!! Someone with far more skills and experience than me might be a better choice!

Plus im not aware of a good freeware 56TC....with a paintkit

I've searched some more and I couldn't find any B56 or B55 (which is basically the same model). I did however find a B55 AI package by Ray Blake, but I guess that is not what you are looking for. Klaus Brosemann and Mal Lloyd also made an AI model of the B55. It's also probably not quite what you're be looking for, but Siggi Schaeffer did a very nice B58TC.

Simon: there's a repaint kit available for the B58 by Chris Klein and Bob Hayes. Try that ... Wink

Even a repaint of the FS2004 default 58 Baron would be great, it's more the paint scheme I like. But if someone could do a 56TC then that would be awesome!

What about this paint scheme? Would this be any easier?

Both aircraft my father has raced. G-FLAK won the Schneider Trophy in 1990

Whats the reg of the first plane? Have you any really good clear side on pictures of both? Going to check airliners.net see if theres any there kicking about as well.

Im not promising anything but ill certainly take a look - the paint itself doesnt worry me its the details and some of the lines that to me i may find difficult!

It's N951SF

My father raced both aircraft when they were owned by Spencer Flack. Who also owned the scarlet squadron such as G-HUNT, G-FURY (someone has already done a FS2004 of G-FURY) and G-FIRE.

I have attached all the pictures I have.

Thanks for the pictures! Ive got hold of the repaint kit for the default B58, however it does differ on the side windows to the 56, is this a problem?

Ive done a bit of faffing and i think i can recreate the lines near the tail, but the ones on the engines and the horizontal tail may be very tricky as the repaint kit is unlike 'normal' repaint kits in that everything is on one .psd! However as soon as i have somthing that resembles the real thing ill post it and then you can decide wether you like it or not!!!

Also the lettering i note has white lines round it, anyone know a easy way to recreate this? Ive a few ideas....

Okay. I think we might be pushing the limit for the post here with images so if these dissapear ill pop them in freeware!

As you can see it sort of looks ok. Having a few problems, but the first shot was the first time i got the blue and red lines looking ok, although the model seems to stretch things round itself quite a lot......

Second is with a better blue line (its further away from the window line) and attempts at the engines - tricky! the engines im trying to paint are like layed out in flat pack style so its difficult to know how it will appear once its 'folded' round the engine.....

Got the number on the tail on though!

Its not brilliant but im trying my best to come up with somthing reasonable!!!

I'm very very impressed!

It's coming along nicely, You certainly have a talent I couldn't do it!

I understand what you mean about the lines on the engines, there is also some lines on the wings and horizontal tail on the elevators.

I think it will look the awesome when it's finish!

Hey Danno, have you any pictures at all of the top of the wings! I note you say it has a similar pattern on them to the fuselage......i cant see any of it! What about underneath?

I can just about make out the tail, i think i can replicate that - just....
