Ok, what are we talking about here?
All that was added was a border and the KB was kept at maximum.

Well I may be wrong Dave, but I could almost swear it was 1024 and not 800 wide. Let's see what Harold says.

When I first saw my shot it was 900 wide. It was 800 wide just as all my other shots. Just a minor detail but it's fixed now. Thanks Dave Wink

Aye yes that is true Harold...
I tried to make it 900 & then 1024 wide to "fit" like the others but noticed a slight corruption of the shot. I forgot to post the 800 shot and did correct it after your post.

No problems.
While on the topic, why is it 800 and not 1024? Are you flying your sim at 800 resolution?

Dave

why is it 800 and not 1024?

I have a 19" @ 1280x1024. The screenshots on the forum which are 1024 wide do not fit my monitor. I have to scroll to the right to see the whole picture. Therefore I make - atleast - mine 800 wide. But I can also get a little better quality when I'm resizing to 800, as a 1024 wide image needs to be compressed more to get it too 150k than the same image at 800 wide ...

I've been thinking though to start posting images that are clickable linked to full screen images hosted on my own webserver. Good idea?

They run the contest longer until it isn't. We still have 2 days though, so I wouldn't worry yet. Grin

Oh my God  Shocked Shocked Shocked I had no idea i would come anywhere close let alone win. I am really thankfull for those of you who voted for me. This is my first competiton i have ever won. I had always thought they were pointless and very little chance of winning. (Liek the ones in newspapers etc..) lol  Cheesy

This was my second screenshot overall, my other is in the freeware screenshots section, but .... i am speechless.. Lol  Embarrassed

I honestly thought Harold would win, how his shot was composed etc... and his experience. By winning this competition it just makes me want to carry on and improve and share my experiences with you guys.

All the finalists are brilliant and again i thank the whole of SimV for having me.  Smiley  Wink
