It's time for those WINNERS!!

Judge Rob has chosen the following from a good field of screenshots:

1st place :

Mitch

...

I just love the bare metal look, and the clarity of the plane is great!

2nd place:

Aussiewannabe

...

The plane, the buildings... make me feel I'm in the 20's!

3rd place: Fighter25

...

If I didnt know any better, Id think this was a real picture!

Well done guys!!
You did good!!

And thanks to all for taking part, Judge Mitch shall be informed and a new comp could be winging its merry way to you as early as Monday night  Smiley

Cheers!

Krigl

Kaliningrad Devau Airport is located 5 km northeast of Kaliningrad. The airport opened as Königsberg Devau Airport (German: Flughafen Devau) in 1921 after the Polish corridor separated East Prussia from the main part of Germany. The main building was drafted by the architect Hanns Hopp, who was the architect of several public and private buildings erected in Königsberg in the 1920s. The airport in Devau was used by the airlines of Lufthansa and Deruluft, which connected Königsberg with Berlin and Moscow and other destinations. After World War II, Devau was discontinued as the main airport by the Soviets, in favor of Khrabrovo Airport. Parts of the original main building still exists and is used by the Kaliningrad Sport Aviation Club. The Dornier Komet III / Merkur was an early german airliner of the 1920s. RR-27 was used by the german-russian Deruluft.

Went to the screenshot folder and found this:

http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/Piper1May30.jpg

Hopefully it counts as a 'Golden Age' aircraft.
