Well,

Although I think this is a much asked question, I would like to ask it again: how can you reduce the lag in Fs2004? You can't even fly in formation without seeing the other aircraft jump around like mad...

Lag is normal, but this much, it's abnormal... Can you reduce it, or maybe even make it dissapear?

Or is there even somekind of modification that reduces the lag...?

Okay firstly turn off AI, then lower your resolution or reduce some graphics settings. Until you're at quite close formation the planes will appear to jump about quite a bit because of the way FS maps MP sessions, however once in a nice tight formation you should get the desired effect Wink

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

yeah but, AI is almost turned completely off, and my graphics settings are not that high. Still even when flying slow in lets say a mustang, the planes keep jumping around.... For a few seconds they are near you and then poof! they are 1km away...  Angry

A couple of very important things to remember in Multiplayer Flights.....

..assuming a reasonable Computer Hardware configuration..

(1) You need a high speed, Broadband, Internet connection.

(2). Your Frame Rate MUST be LOCKED to 20 FPS (the same as everyone else!) to comply with the rules!
