Well thats a first for me - i didnt realise you could change the reg number that actualy appears on some default aircraft?? Ive changed it in the box many times however  Lips Sealed

Its not too much of a job to alter them in the repaint really -  I suppose you could do a complete set...! Wouldnt take too long.

Anyways, ive uploaded to SIMV just now although it took forever - and avsim, well it never seemed to get beyond 'uploading' and didnt complete so i guess it might not appear there....somthing seems up at there end or mine maybe!

The only snag with inserting ones own Registration numbers/letters on the Default Aircraft fuselage is that they will not appear to others during Multiplayer flights... Cry...Only to you, and during your own Solo Flights...
...in Multiplayer, all Pilots have to have exactly the SAME textures in their Hangars, for them to be seen by everyone else in the flight!

For some reason i now want to go and try this, and use as many foul words as possible that can be combined into a reg number just to see what it looks like!!!!

How childish is that Grin

I recall doing similar with a program that came on one of the tapes in the 'introduction to basic' pack for the commodore ViC20.

The program generated random sentences, and it didnt take me long to figure how it generated its words, nor did it take me long to alter all of those said words and save the new program onto a 'secret' cassettee  tape(whats a cassette tape many will be asking!!! You loaded programes onto a computer via a tape recorder!!! dont be daft!!!) so my parents didnt find it and then load it!. I thought i was brilliant!

Ive searched and searched for an emulator of this programme 26 odd years later, but no joy!!!

Oh dear Grin

Ive actualy got a spectrum 128 sat around gathering dust. It did work, although ive not had it hooked up for some time. I aquired it from a hotel i used to work at in the early 90's, it sat in a cupboard and suprisingly controlled the satellite TV system in the hotel......

Slighty back on topic Grin

I notice my repaint has appeared in the FSX section on simv....although the title still states FS2004 (and now FSX)- is this correct? does it work in fsx? The actual plane anyway......

The textures i havent tested in fsx!

http://www.simviation.com/fsxprops22.htm

Its at the bottom of that page Cheesy

Edit!!!!

Now uploading this again as another package including both ZK451 'K' and ZK454 'N' - this will correct an error on the textures with the letter' K' on the tail and gear doors....it was reversed slighty wrong!!

Apologies - i hope the extra texture set compensates for my (now) glaring error!!! Smiley

Thank you Harold -Thats quite flattering!!! However after only 3 repaints (and the first two were more a trail and error thing) i dont think im quite at that level yet!!

The photoreal thing, although i know the principals of how they do it, im having trouble drawing a curved line, let alone trying to line up somthing from a photo onto a fs model and then making it look incredibly real!!

Both the level D and the AFG paint kits are probably making my effots look a lot better than they really are, the kits are superb, if a little tricky in the AFG case but the effects they contain make it hard to go wrong once you can lay down the basic lines of the aircraft i think.

However, even doing just that bit im finding difficult in some cases!

But i appreciate yours and everyones feedback on them - it certainly shows im going in the right direction!
