Hi

I am looking for a simple object placer for FSX that will place things from the default FSX library. I am trying scenery design at an airport, and I am trying to put down some obejcts for eye-candy.

I know Rwy-12 is out there, but that has it's own libraries, I would the stuff I place to be from default libraries so that if I ever wanted to publish it, it would work on other computers.  I thought there was something like this in the FSX SDK, but it looks like that has to do with only creating missions. I used ADE to design the AFCAD, but that program can't place objects, only copy and paste stuff in.

Thanks for any help,
Ferrari

Look for "Whisplacer"....an easy to use utility for placing objects
in FSX. Go over to   www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/ and look for
the information for that utility.

Thanks, I have tried this before, however, it makes very little sense to me. When I open a project, I get a very big grid, it is hard to make sense of where everything is. Do you know of any tutorials that I can work with? Also, is there a way to work with Whisplacer in FSX? Whenever I hit the connect to FS button, nothing happens. Thanks

If the latest version of ADE v1.26 doesn't do what you want..........

Abacus Scenery Shortcut is a free utility.

It will show you how to place scenery objects using the FSX-SDK Mission Builder Object Placement Tool and will then convert the file into a permanent scenery file.

You must go through the 'checkout' process, but it is free.

A payware option is Flight1's Instant Scenery. It can place objects from any active object library, default or add-on (Rwy12, EZ-Scenery etc.). There is a demo available.
