Ah BEA's 'red square'. Some dont like it but i think its better than their later livery that appeared on tridents in the 70's.

The later Flying Jack was really a Trident livery and looked best on that type.

The Red Square was a favorite of mine at the time

Few people liked it then as some tried to say it was supporting communism which was hyped up rubbish.

It did cause quite a stir on it's launch because it removed the flag from the tail and only had the logo repeated on the fuse and no titles which was unusual then

There were moves to try and stop it in Parliament but it all failed.

Now it is looked back on as a British icon of the sixties with fondness.

The 'card' represents the earliest Vanguard version with the small tail square and is soft, contrasty and a bit saturated as colour printing was in 1961.
