Anyone know if there is an ATC voice anywhere with an Irish,Scottish, or British accent?

I wish there was. It would be nice to hear something else than the American voices all over the world.

I'd like some variety, I want some Canadian accents at airports like Vancouver, and Toronto. British accents would be awesome.
I'm Canadian.

While this would be a MASSIVE amount of work....... recording the same "voicepack" with maybe a dozen versions of "accented English"....... it would add a WORLD of realism to the sim.  It is one thing that I have always wanted too.

It would seem simple to "map" the general location of the controler that is talking to the plane into a dozen or so general geographic regions....and then key the appropriate voice accent.

The issue is RECORDING all those voice sets.

Maybe someday.

best,

Believe it or not there is not much out there in the way of downloads for the ATC which just acts crazy sometimes. There is editvoicepack31.zip---do a search which allows you to add your own voices to the sim. It also speeds up the voices for more realism.

Screw the accents (well, they would be nice) but I'd rather have one of each country, sit in their respective countries.

I hate flying over Denmark (my most common flight), and it kills me that the ATC can't utter any Danish airport or anything.

best option would be a payware called pro flight emulator.... it allows for all sorts of stuff.... including emergency landings, and all sorts of accents....

http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/pfe.htm

theres everything you need on it, its a full on atc addon, but the catch is that it requires a lot of button presses.....

personally i use a combo of pfe and fdc live.....

oh make sure you have it fully updated, the updates fix and add a lot of stuff.... also note it will only patch it up one version at a time, so you will have to patch it multiple times for it to be up to the latest version....

oh you may want to get a copy of gamecommander, it's old as heck, but it would allow you to use voice commands with pfe....
