I was wondering on the flight planner on FSX ill be flying threw the mountains the planner will sometimes put me at 18,500 for a cruise altitude whitch is Class A airspace whitch is illegal for VFR pilots to be in, Is this because its 18,000 AGL or is my planner ignoring the Class A?

Class G airspace extends to 1500 ft above the surface, regardless of surface altitude unless it's already specified as Class B, C, D, or E airspace, even above 18,000 feet.

I'll admit, I had to look that one up, but there aren't too many hills around here that push the 14,500 foot limit. Wink
