ok this is a reallly wierd glitch thats been happening to me when im playing stalker-Shadow of churnoble lol

...

The streched textures appear out of nowhere.. it happens everywhere in the game, to an unplayable level..  when dynamic lighting is turned on, and somtimes when it is off, but not as often.. happens in other games as well, like BF2.. doesnt happen in Supreme commander, or Americas Army, or not that ive noticed it..  im not too sure about FS10, as I havnt played it since my joystick gave out.. but just out of curosity im gonna take a looksee right now..

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? If not, try that.

If that still doesn't work, it may be time to invest into a new one; I'm thinking.

This is called an artifact, and is a result of your hardware failing somewhere along the line, could be at its core or at the usershell/kernel(drivers).

I (semi)cured my similar problem in S-T-A-L-K-E-R by trying out various versions of the Card Drivers....nVidia GF 7800 GS AGP

Sometimes a re-start of the Computer and re-loading the Game (a few times!) cures the program.... Roll Eyes...!

Even now I still suffer occasional artifact on the Main Menu Screen.

Stalker seems to be very fussy over certain Graphics Cards, and the Drivers... Cry..!

Paul.... Wink...!

I had this problem in BF2, a simple video card update will do the trick.

this is indeed an artifact Shocked (no not like fozzer Grin )

update your drivers, and make sure your card is seated properly and is not over heating.

Tee-Hee... Grin...!

Its a funny old do...

But out of all my recent games, "S-T-A-L-K-E-R" is the only one that gives me various artifact, etc, problems..
The game seems very sensitive to in-game graphics, sound, etc, settings. I often wonder it there were difficulties during the design of the program (bugs) to cope with all the various customer's hardware...?
I can generally cure the worst of them, but it does involve a lot of fiddling about with the settings, often involving re-starting the game a few times to get it working correctly!
(There are no overheating problems in my hardware).
...no problems with "Bioshock".

...an excellent game tho'...(with the Cheats installed!...Wink...)!

Paul... Cool...nVidia 7800GS AGP 256meg...!

....>>>>"Computer Games and Software"...  Roll Eyes....Wink... Wink... Wink...!
