Hello Chums...

A noticeable lack of on-line Multiplayer Pilots on the Sim V Server lately... Shocked...!

Do I suspect that due to the recent ingress of "FSX Users" and their various problems with "getting it up  Embarrassed ", "getting on-line   Sad  ", etc, etc, etc,..has reduced the population of FS9 (FS 2004) happy, problem-free, on-line, Multiplayer Users... Cry...!

Come on FS9 Users...

Lets show these fancy, pesky, newby FSX Users, how its done...Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004.... Wink.... Grin.... Grin... Grin...!

Whats wrong with using FSX? It's just as trouble free as FS9 as long as you set it up properly then it makes no difference. I'll never go back to FS9 online, because FSX is better.

Sorry John, my old Chum..

I recently treated my self to 18 Wheels of Steel Across America/Haulin'/Pedal to the Metal....

....so...

Together with my new (Trust) Steering Wheel and Pedals, I have been cruisin' America via the Highway, instead of by Air, lately...Wink...!

A lot of daily trucking involved...

...including my daily excursions to Sainsbury's and back again... Shocked...!

Paul...Love my Twin Air Horns!... Smiley...!

ShockedPaul a truck Shocked
I have been all over from Hutto,TX to Lafeytte,LA to pickup two turbines for a helicopter and take them to Dallas,TX.

In Dallas,TX I picked up a Agusta 109 to take to Philadelphia,PA to drop off.

From Philadelphia,PA I went to Millville,NJ to pick up a Bell Jetranger going to Lago Vista,TX.

From Millville,NJ I went to JFK airport,NY to pick up a wingtip for a 747 going to Dallas,TX.

From JFK airport,NY I went to Monroe,LA to to help load an Enstrom F-28F onto another truck and trailer that was going to Dallas,TX.

From Monroe,LA I went to Dallas,TX to drop off the 747 wingtip and reload the Enstrom onto my trailer so the other truck could take the rest of the Agusta 109 from Dallas to Philadelphia,PA.

From Dallas,TX I went to Lago Vista,TX to drop off the Jetranger then back home to Hutto,TX for the weekend.

Then from Hutto,TX I went to Gilberts,IL to drop off the Enstrom.

Then back home to Hutto,TX all in the past three weeks time over 8,000 miles total and around $4,800.00 for fuel.
see you in the skies Smiley

The trubble wiv FSX?... Roll Eyes..!

The trouble with FSX is that many/most of my favourite Payware Utilities, which I use every day to enhance my FS 2004 Flight Sim, no longer work with, or are not available for,  FSX... Wink...!

...eg:...

FS Navigator, LAGO FSSE/FSE/Soundscape Scenery Designer, FS 2004 EZ Scenery Designer....etc...etc...

Without them, I wouldn't be using any of Microsoft Flight Simulators...

..trust me...Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF....FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004, FSX.... Cool...!

MS Flight Sim without FS Navigator is a DEFINITE NO-NO for me!...Wink...!

...which is probably why "J" (John) cant get hos FS Nav to work with his FSX... Roll Eyes...?

Hello John...Wink...!

I can't figure out why your FS Nav wont work with FS 2004 if you have the genuine, purchased, registered, version?... Roll Eyes...!
Jake is having a similar problem with his, with FS 2004, and I cant figure out why?
I have never had any problems with it since FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, and FS 2004...

Very strange... Shocked...!

I just connect with FS Nav in the same way that I connect with the Flight Sim on Sam's Server....same procedure...in seconds!... Smiley...!

Let me know how you get on with it, it's very interesting...Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...Mr. Brains Faggots... Cool... Grin...!

Note everyone: FS Navigator was never released for FSX... Cry...!

I dont have FS9 on my pc and FSX and FS9 in multiplayer dont mix well in my opinion... Sad
FSX multiplayer works rather well and is nice and smooth. Problem is that you still need one heavy machine to run it properly but when the tours move over to FSX i might join you all again lol.
I also loved those airshows but it wont work well in FSX SP2 with all those FS9 planes. Sad Again the FSX multiplayer should work great with those airshows, with that smooth multiplayer.

Solution could be to install FS9 on my pc...hmmm no too much work to get it back to where i had it on my previous pc lol Grin

FS9 was part of the "Golden Age of Compatabillity"

ah yes the golden age of compatabillity, when CFS2 ruled the skies and FS2002 and 2004 lived in harmony, a happy time spanning roughly 5 years were if you wanted something that wasn't availabe for one sim, their were two others to fall back upon in the downloads section. sadly, that age has come ot an end, with internet mongols and blue tooth huns roaming free, simulators are isolated and untrusting of each other, take CFS3 and FSX for example.
