Hey guys...I'm back!  Grin

I can't get any sound to be produced from any videos i have in the .ogm format. They use the DIVX and AV3 codecs.

I have tried multiple players and yes, the volume is turned up!  Wink

Thanks!

Try this. Might work might not, but it's worth a shot.

First copy the original to a safe place, so you have the original, and a new to one test with.

Get yourself to folder options, through the path of your choice, click on the "VIEW" tab, and un-tick "hide extesions for known file types". Click apply.

Now, right-click on the .ogm file (the one you don't mind screwing up), and rename it, changing the file extension from .ogm to .avi. (i.e., "test.ogm" to "test.avi") and save it.  Windows may give you one of it's  "are you sure" prompts, saying that changing yadda-yadda might make the file unstable or whatever, it's ok to say ok and do it.

Now try to play it again.

Again, it might work, might not, but it should if the ac3 and DivX codec s installed.

Don't forget to go back to folder options and undo the change you made ealier, to save yourself headaches later.

If that doesn't work, I think the "Alshow" player might be able to play these files. (Don't quote me on that though)

Hope it works for ya.

Hey thanks guys. Everything seems to be working now. I downloaded the new filters and experimented with groundbound's suggestion. Not sure what made it work though.  Wink
