Are these new? Just noticed rather large ad boards under the SimV forums.

They've always been there, just a little less subtle than the current one...

They're usually forum related, thanks to google keywords or adwords or something like that. Basically if you go the hardware forum there's usually a hardware ad, etc. etc.

I'm glad I'm not the only one's who's noticed. The position is rather annoying. I'd have preferred them above the SimV titling. Smiley

Well it's worked then hasn't it?

That's the whole point of advertising, if nobody notices it then it may as well not be there.

It hasn't worked, because an hour after first noticing it, I've absolutely no recollection of what it was advertising! Grin In fact, I'd say the company advertising need their money back from the marketing people for making such an ineffectual advert. Wink Smiley

I'd just prefer it if it was positioned above the titling. Smiley

These ads are getting a bit annoying.... I understand having APPROPRIATE ads, e.g. for PC hardware, or car parts in the autos forum, but all the adverts I get are like this one:

...

A bit annoying, seeing as they are just scams... Any way to get targeted ads?

These are Google ads & are *supposed* to deliver content relevant ads .. for everyone's sake. Generally they do but it would seem even Google is scraping the ad barrel right now ....   Roll Eyes

I mostly only see the Ace Combat 6 ad. These ads don't bother me at all.
