An excellent actor.

I saw him at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia while eating dinner with some coworkers back in 1998. After he finished his business, he walked between our table and another one with Asian tourists. One of the ladies said, "I love your movies" and he said "Thank you!"

I only have one story, but it's not flattering so I won't share it on such an occasion. Wink

At any rate, he was a titanic movie star, and at times a good actor when he had something to work with and a good director (Orson Welle's Touch of Evil comes to mind)... he was an icon of my childhood. A real Movie Star; a legend.

Rest in piece, you irascible old SOB...  Cry
