I don't believes Nick's Light Fix is compatible with FSX, so I'd like to see someone create a fix for the default FSX aircraft lighting - ie: 747's nav lights only work when landing lights are on etc.

You could always try Shockwave productions.

They released a uber sweet product called 3dlights.

Payware, but not too expensive and well worth the buck.

With your system it would be nice to look into a quality product like 3d lights.
