The ture image of cold war..... the Avro Vulcan XL321 carrying the 'blue steel' nuclear deterent.
if anyone has any idea of what became of the XL321 i would be most greatdul.
......aircraft is fs2002 from simv squeezed into fsx!, location is wales somewhere!

XL 321 was deliverd in january 1962. Fitted with Olympus 201 engines. Modified for Blue Steel missile. Highest number of operational flying hours for a Vulcan. Over 6,952 hrs.
Later scrapped.
Part of 617 squadron at some point from what i can gather. No dates as to when or where it was scrapped but theres some pics on the net from 1982.

Aha some more.........XL321 went to to Catterick Fire School 19/08/1982, perished 1987. So there you go!!
