It's February 1954 and Chuck Yeager returns safely to Kadena Airbase in Okinawa in a tropical storm after test flying the first Mig 15 available to the U.S.

...

Russian Migs had been used by North Korean forces and until Lieutenant Kim Sok Ho defected to the West in his Mig 15, the capability of this plane was only guesstimated.  Chuck Yeager was flown in secrecy to Okinawa to assess the Mig and did so under atrocious conditions, as a tropical storm sat over the island practically the whole time.

Thanks for looking.

Good luck, guys.

Thanks for comments guys.

I always forget to say where the add ons come from ... the ground texture is PicNic available for FS9/FSX from http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=scenery&file=PicNic.zip;
the Mig is available from http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=military&file=Mig-15_2.zip;
and the North Korea textures from http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=military&file=Mig15NorthKorea7...

I agree that the Sabre looks the business, although the Mig detail is impressive for FS9.

Cheers.

Beautiful shot! I think it's my favourite until now.
Great details on the Mig!
And those lights in the fog look very nice!
