I was just wondering if ever it has been discussed the idea of SimV-themed merchandise. Of course, I realize that we are a small community (say, in comparison to, oh I don't know, China), and that there probably is not going to be a SimV shopping mall in the near future. Also, it would not be at all practical for Pete to keep a lot of merchandise sitting around his home hoping that one of us sods will buy it. And finally, since we all live all over the world, shipping would just be a murderous nightmare. However . . .
I do know that in many places you can have all sorts of things adorned with your own logos and graphics. From T-shirts to coffee mugs to mouse pads to stickers, there is just a lot of things an individual can have made in single-order size.
I was wondering if we got approval for a specific graphic or usage of the SimV logo, would it be reasonable to ask for permission to have something made for personal use (i.e. not to sell)? I kind of think it would be kewl to have a SimV mouse pad or T-shirt (I especially like logo-ed T-shirts).
Thoughts?

I like the idea, Darrin. Deer Valley Flying Club has something similar, as does Bush Flying Unlimited.
Example....
I wouldn't mind to have a nice sticker on my car or wear a T-shirt with logo.

Ok, testing the water (so hopefully not treading on anyone's toes, so to speak), but how many UK based (or even European based perhaps too) members would be interested say in a SimV mug?

I'd quite happily purchase some SimV merchandise, and I'd certainly have a SimV mug C!

If anybody's willing to do it, I'd buy a mug too...
I don't know if anyone's aware, but you can buy printer paper that you can iron pictures on to white T-shirts. Someone(with PS experience) could make an image to be printed onto T-shirts for meet ups
Imagine a rowdy rabble, all dressed the same, converging on an airshow or similar...

Having had a brief look on t'web, it looks as though mugs would be in the region of £6 to £8 (+P&P), with a logo and a name/text of your choice for a smallish order (less than 30 or so).
As for potential design (assuming we would have Pete's blessing to proceed), I was thinking possibly the stylised part of the SimV logo, with personalised text below that?
