Well, I was at work and I received an e-mail alert from Paul the gentleman who started the PHL Spotters Group.  It said that NASA's Super Guppy was coming in.  I missed it the last time it was here so, I wasn't about to this time!!  I told the guys at work I gotta go and off I went!!  They come in to pick up V-22 Osprey's that are built at the Boeing plant in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Enjoy!! Smiley

What an aeroplane. I remember seeing one at Hatfield as a wee sprog.

As for uglyness, and knowing it's origins, it has a functional sort of beauty. Smiley

Nice one, Cory. I was at work myself, checking my email and received the one Paul sent as well. My shift was over at noon, and figured I'd have time to get down there by 2. I was actually calling your phone when a customer came in that I had to help. Curses! Never managed to get down there though, as I figured since I didn't have my camera it'd be a bit worthless (other than seeing you, Cory Wink). I'll be down in Texas in a few months so I think I'll be able to catch her there. Glad you got her though.

Thank you Chaps!!

It was really cool seeing the Super Guppy.  Just the sound of the four turbo props was awesome!!  I was hoping she would have taxied over to Atlantic Aviation where I could have gotten some nice shots but, she went over to Cargo City and I could have gotten some shots there but, at that time of day the heat distortion would have killed the shot!!

I know what you mean James.  I had to shoot home pick up my camera and then hit every traffic light in the world and get behind all the slow drivers all the way down to PHL. I made with ten minutes to spare!!!  It would have been nice to see you there but I know it's a long ride for you.

Cory

Shocked

What a catch!!

There's something beautiful about it, from an engineering standpoint... elegant in concept, if not form. That must have been something at that meeting when someone said "I know... we could mod a Stratotanker, maybe...?" Grin
And let's not forget: somewhere in there is a B-29...  Cheesy
