Anyone actually live on Vancouver Island on SimV? If so I'd like to meet a few other people who enjoy flight sims, I'm used to people calling me a major nerd, no one up here likes it.

Well, I don't live up there (or anywhere near there) but I do love flying around those parts. I just can't get enough of it. I know there are many other places just like Alaska and British Columbia but there seem to be so many add-ons available for that part of the country that it makes flying around there very interesting and entertaining ...

If you'd like to share anything on British Columbia with me, then please do not hesitate Wink

Oh yeah ... stunning images waspi Roll Eyes Cool

Love the first one. Excellent angle and reflections.

I really need to download some scenery. I'll get to it someday...

It's cloudy and rains a lot over there, especially around the coast... Grin

I may have not visited BC too many times, but I've lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life, (Well, minus a couple years elsewhere for the Army) and 16 years were spent in the Seattle area.

Rifleman lives in BC, so he's more of an expert than i am... Wink

Thanks Pepper! I'm a pilot there now!

As for Vancouver Island Harold, it rains every now and then, not much at all really, it BARELY ever goes below freezing, but also very rarely goes ABOVE about 15 degrees (C*).

It's almost ALWAYS overcast, in fact, I haven't seen the sun now for at least two and a half weeks. Not once. Vancouver Island has some of the most gorgeous scenery in the world, by far, everything about it is lush, green forrest, beautiful lakes, tons of fishing, west coast Uclulet holds the current record for being the best fishing spot IN THE WORLD.

I can upload some pictures of where I live if you like, Harold! Just say the word and I'll PM you a couple of the GORGEOUS Strait of Georgia.

It's an absolutely beautiful place to live and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else in the world. But yeah, just shoot me a PM or something and I can send you a bunch of pictures. We actually own a motel RIGHT on the water front, best on the island, and if ANY member of SimV ever comes up to Qualicum and needs a place to stay, I personally will take the reservation/random check in and give you a 50% discount on any room available. (If you do take up the offer, please make a reservation and tell me so I can take it.)
This offer expires never.

I'm from Nanaimo B.C. on Vancouver Island and it's a great place to fly around. Pepper gave a link to VIVA http://www.vanisleva.com/index.php if your interested in flying around that area you wont find a better place for resources , sceneries for every airport on the island, 38m mesh (free) for the island, scenery for various areas including that Victoria harbour scenery, alot of aircraft, and alot of great fellow simmers who enjoy our wonderful hobby. do check it out.
Cheers
Rom
