I just installed XP Pro 64 bit w/SP2.  Do I need a 64 bit version of .net Framework or DirectX 9c for FSX?

What ever Windows Update shows you under "OTHER SOFTWARE"  when you run a CUSTOM scan, is what you need

IE - TOOLS MENU - WINDOWS UPDATE..   follow the directions and I also recommend you install MICROSOFT UPDATE if it asks you. When you go to Windows Update manually after all the software is installed, click the CUSTOM button and everything you need will be presented... CRITICAL - OPTIONAL SOFTWARE - DRIVER UPDATES   (I would be careful with the driver updates though) and OFFICE UPDATES

it will offer you automatically net 2 and 3 and install the right version

Install them both, reboot and then RETURN to Windows update and repeat the same process till it tells you there are no more updates
