Welcome to the monthly contest admissions thread!!

This contest replaces the old Gallery Gates competition – at least while we see if the concept works or not. If it doesn’t we’ll go back to the old GG. The aim is to choose the very best screenshots/screenart from each FS forum in the last month and display it in our permanent gallery.

Rules:

1.
You can submit 3 shots of your own, and an UNLIMITED NUMBER OF PICS BY OTHER PEOPLE.

That way, people who are really keen to participate and contribute are free to do so and can 'cover for' those who for whatever reason don't get round to it....

2. You don't have to nominate all pictures at once, just keep adding them TO YOUR ORIGINAL POST using the edit button.

3.      Submit the pictures as links without image tags, or if you feel like it, thumbnails. Do not submit full images! New image size guidelines apply.

4.      Write next to the image who made it, and if it is F, P or E (Freeware, Payware or Edited).

eg               IMAGE by 737-900pwnsA321aniday   E
       etc.... Smiley

5.The admissions thread will close officially at midnight on the last day of the month and the gallery team will knock up three polls, one for each of the screenshot forums.

6. This competition is for members, and if no one nominates anything the contest will disappear. We're aiming for around 80 nominations - i.e. 16 people nominate five shots each... so don't hold back and NOM-IN-ATE!!

That’s it. Let’s hope we get to see the best of the best from all three FS screenshot forums!

Happy nominating!!

Hi, apologies for taking so long to get this up - both Clipper and I are taking a real beating from RL at the moment.

We have a new baby - that's me and my wife, not me and Clip - and I have insane quantities of work which is keeping me offline at the mo Cry

Studio V seems to be virtually dead right now.... I have a feeling Darwinian principles might be invoked soon by Pete...if you get my drift...  Wink

I hope at least to keep these two contests going till Clipper returns, if he does, with his creative energy  Smiley

Cheers guys - will start posting nominations soon I hope...

Krigl, nice one! Congrats to you and your wife. I have enough to handle with one daughter, I don't know how you do it...

Btw, I've never left the V, i've just been pre-occupied with various distractions that have left me little or no time to help out at the Studio. New job (with a boss...yuck), my blues band, churning out music festival art with my graphics company and the usual incredibly annoying commuting to the city 4-5 hours daily. It's really tough to find time to contribute at the Studio these days. Hopefully things will settle a bit and we can all get things into high gear here once again.  Smiley

Sounds like you need a 58TC and a private airstrip Wink

Great stuff so far guys, thanks for the congrats too  Smiley

Clipper is indeed a busy boy... but his spirit guides us  Cool
And the new Time Pilot feature sounds intriguing...

We need a few more nominations for this comp though. Our goal - 80. Time: around 5 days. Nominations so far: 17.

Cheers

Hmmm, looks like this comp's as dead as a dodo. 223 views, no new nominations since last time I looked....

We don't reach 80, we will do something comp-like with the existing nominations this month - people's effort to participate is appreciated and will not be abandoned - ... and then close this mother down. If people have to be cajoled or whipped into nominating there isn't really much point to it Smiley
