I have made my choice an EASY model to start.

Made using FSX-SDK SP2, will be compatible with DX10 , this is the "EARLY" begining stage of this Citation II .

The VC is already token from the fuse (Too raw yet to be shown)But the main base and position has been establish.

This hasn't being mapped ,in fact still has to be fix some anomalies in the fuse(Fix the more the shape,Nose & Tail) the only animation it already has are the tires ,there still a long road ahead to walk  Smiley.

I got to thanks Fr.Bill  for his teaching and advises in my new Incursion in this NEW FORMAT!! specialy exporting and animation, Thanks a lot Buddy Wink..

Shocked Shocked Shocked I'm very impress by this new format (FSD_SDK-SP2) the glass ,the NOn mapped yet shapes exported soft ,and with an soo realistic shining of the fuse and the glass Shocked Shocked Shocked this shot ,Wich I send it to a friend ..the glass is the only mapped in DDS DTX 5

...

this shot can't show entirely what I can in my monitor from the interior (VC) and the exterior, But any other (default planes would give you an Idea)

also the animations are much more easy to set (Quite different though, I mean the method)

Learning about FSX-SDK is simpler that the old method ,but Its like learning again ,because there its a hudge diferent from makemdl9 than FSX-sdk, But so far so good by now Wink

OMG! Undecided

anybuddy knows how to make those bones and skinned menshes?, I can't Flex the wing as it should  Undecided

This was posted in FFDS and as always someone is trying to help me there But I don't know some concept like bones ,skin material, and many other names, if some one can explain me this

Quote:
Its a harder process to explain than to do.

Basically you need a 'Skin' material which will be a clone of your diffuse wing material with the Skin box checked.

Then you need a hierarchy of bones that correspond to where you have vertex loops around the Wing see the example of how the hierarchy is structured on on the DC3.

The lowest bones in the hierarchy must be anchored at the base, i.e have animation tags but not move, and be at the bottom of the hierarchy of the main model.

Then work out from the wing root animating the required upward rotation of the flex on the bones only. Don't forget to move the animation slider back to zero when done.

Once done apply a skin modifier to the wing mesh and add the bones to the modifier. Make sure that all vertices at the wing root area (in the DC3 example this means the whole fuselage!) are 'Weighted' and influenced by the scope of the lowest bone. Then again working from the wing root work outward and make sure the vertices that you want to be affected are being influenced by the scope of the corresponding bone.

That's basically the procedure you can see on the Douglas example how the flaps and ailerons are included in the structure but the same principles of this procedure apply.

Then you'll need to add the wing flex animation tags (the default code or your own custom code) so the flex you see in Max (and now gMax...  ) happens in sim.

It does warrant a proper tutorial really as this description doesn't do it justice but I hope it helps.

Jon.

I really like the gear modeling.  The textures will add a massive improvement, but you already have the basic concept down pat.  Well done, sir . . .

thanks !! You right Lockee all details dissapear with the textures as naked colours always look ugly(Exept the Glass textures  Shocked) But as far I concern the most dificult part is the animation wich is almost done..

Smiley So Far So Good! , couple more animations

You know, you should put together a nice tutorial on how to export visual models from Gmax to FSX since you managed to get it going. For some reason, even though I have followed the SDK [with updates and all] to the letter, I have not been able to export an FSX model. Care to offer a few pointers?
