You got acces to that area? And i havent seen a lynx in a long long time, i quite miss them and the orions since they close valkenburg, although i saw a chinook heading south a few days ago.

Unfortunately not... I know what you're saying about Valkenburg... I miss the activity to.. The skies over here seem so empty nowadays...

I've seen a lot fly over here over the years especially since I live in Rijnsburg...

Apart from the orions we used to get the odd Nimrod, Awacs , US Navy 757 but mainly I miss the classics... The B-25, Catalina and the Dak's.... Also nowadays of course we would have had the DC-2 and Connie as well.. I hope the DC-4 will one day return as well... Fantastic plane to see flying!

P.S. let's not forget the Invader we had for a bit Cheesy

Ah yeah, the orions are best in my memory though, when i was a kid i got a private tour over the field since my father knew someone in charge over there, and clearly remember spending a lot of time near the Orion Smiley. And in the past few years i could see them almost daily flying over Voorhout, leiden, Oegsgeest etc. I really mis them, they really added something to our piece of sky dont you think? I think the DDA still flys the DC-3 and 4 over the fields in the coming months, atleast i remember them doing it in the past.

Well the DDA still flies two daks but their Skymaster has been in South Africa for these past few years due to the tight regulations by the Dutch FAA idiots.. We'll probably see them a few times.... the main thing I Miss is Spotting at Valkenburg.... They had a few awesome spotting places!
