I had to be in Brussels today for radio-broadcasting, so afterwards I couldn't resist hopping over to our national airport. I finally found a sweet new spot I've been hearing a lot about. This place gives you an excellent view on the arrival-runway. It's situated on a small hill, so you can see over the enoying fences... yeay!  Smiley

Some shots...

No special visitors this time, but I'm going to return here soon...

Cheers,

Thanks guys... I love this new place. Something different from those planes against a grey or blue sky.

My only fear is that plenty of sun will make the runway produce a heath-haze, and as the planes touch down just a smidge to far from the spot, that can't be goo for the imagequality. We'll see how that goes during the summer.

I think you've just about summed up Bristol Airport, hoping to go back there tommorow, providing the weather holds out. Nice shots BTW

Almost looks like there was a crosswind component to the runway, from the low left wing on a couple of those shots ?........
....... nice and crisp shots Kris  Cool

Edit: After further viewing, it looks like all of those shots indicate (smoke trails from tire contact, and wing angles) a low left side of the aircraft at touch-down ............ Huh

Bit of a crosswind?

Great shots, I love the backdrop.  Its a nice change from the usual terminal/tarmac/fence backgrounds
