I'm not that selfish -- they can have their ordnance back...
1. start up quickly, hold back throttle
2. watch to rear (right) while nudging throttle
3. as 109 to the rear right is catching you, push to full throttle
4. as 109 to the right is passing, apply right rudder (not too much)
5. during this process, simultaneously straighten out the rudder:
as 109 to the right begins passing in front of you, provide him with additional ventilation
(he's sure to appreciate the extra ammo)
6. don't run into anything -- take off and turn left
7. if your timing is apt, the trailing 109 has now passed you and is taking to the air:
your left turn should put you behind him and you may be able to rid yourself of more lead weight
(such a cheerful giver -- but don't give out too much, just in case)
8. if 109 got away, don't follow -- fly low at full throttle until out of flak range
9. two choices: high or low
low - maintain full throttle until you reach your reinforcements,
and...
high - once out of flak range, full power to at least 10k feet
reduce power slightly as you pass over bandits and fly past reinforcements
if you're a quite able pilot, turn around and get Zander, if not...
10. reduce power and head home
To each his own.
