You were there too? Think anyone payed attention to the commentators?
Most of my shots were of the L-39 (yay, now I can say I have seen a real L-39 Albatros!) and the DHC-4 Caribou that kept buzzing us.
Nothing like driving to Albion Park and having an aggressor scheme airplane roar 10ft above your car while landing. Lovely show from the R/C B-36 Peacemaker too.
Nice shots Mitch!

The mystery Cessna appears to be a '50s-era Cessna 170 (the split windshield and taildragger config tells the tale)... obviously an upgraded engine/prop... not sure if it was made to military-trainer spec (I don't think they did that until the 172-derived Mescalero) or if it's just painted that way.
Definitely not a Bird Dog... the Bird Dog looks more like a scaled-up taildragger 150... much taller cabin section/windows.

Yep, a "Bf108" of some description - either a "real" one or a licensed built one.
On looking further it appears to be Nord 1002 Pingouin "285" which may be under rebuild post an accident in 2000.

Thanks guys and it was a Bf-108. As for the Cessna, after a bit of research, it turned out to be a Cessna 180 Skywagon used by the Australian Army.

I will, but not definately not this week. My computer is down (has anybody seen my System 32 Config lying about?) and I am looking at buying a new one. I can rarely post on SimV now.

Did 180's have a three prop? I was actually thinking a 185. My uncles got one with a mod'd prop so it breaks the sound barrier when the manifold and prop speed are wide open (makes flybys about as loud as Gene Soucys Showcat). Awsome sound, fast, versitile aircraft!

From the pictures of the 180s in Australian Army service in the 60s and 70s they appear to have had a two bladers.
However, on re-reading my own link, this aircraft is not a former Australian Army C180. It's actually a civilian Cessna 180C (50739) marked as A98-043 - the Australian Army's C180's were D models and about a year younger.
