Press release 26th February 2008
FlyintAIR Virtual Airlines
----------
FlyintAIR has come a long way since its launch just over a year ago, expanding from a fleet of just three aircraft to seventeen now. The number of bases has also grown from just Inverness and Kent Int. Manston to include Newcastle, Blackpool, Cardiff and Berlin. But we are not stopping there just yet! By the end of this month we will have expanded to Geneva and Southampton, adding an additional six aircraft to our fleet, and by the beginning of May we intend to have a massive overhaul of route frequencies and the timetables as a whole with an aim to making the airline much more realistic, which will also involve a fleet expansion.
To keep pace with this rapid expansion, we have recently compiled our 2008 action plan within this month’s edition of fly! Magazine (available to download from the website). This aims to outline the way in which we hope to improve many aspects of the airline including pilot involvement and the general quality of the airline, over the next year. A central aspect of this was to expand the management team, allowing pilots a progression up through the airline, and a much wider base of knowledge and time committed to the airline. Therefore, we are proud to announce the creation of the following positions within the airline:
• Hub Manager (Berlin, Geneva and Newcastle)*
• Website Developer
• Marketing Manager*
• Fly! Magazine Writer
*Applicants must have been an active member of the airline for a minimum of three consecutive months to apply for these positions. In time, we also hope to expand the variety of positions available and through natural wastage and further expansion/devolution, will see a much more diverse and experienced management team.
If you are interested in any of the available positions, please visit
