Cathay Pacific 288 Heavy nonstop Frankfurt to Hong Kong.
Surprisingly foggy afternoon, holding short of 7L at around 2:10 PM. ATC told us to hold short for an aircraft on approach, after a couple minutes we began to wonder where it was. Next thing we knew a Transaero 737 from Russia pops out of the fog. Shortly after we were cleared for takeoff. Close to full load for the flight today, 372 passengers.
Blasting into the unknown, passengers giving that seatbelt an extra tug as we begin to hit heavy turbulence.
FL330 and much smoother weather. A late lunch is being served and everyones settling in for the 11 hour flight. ETA 7:50 AM.
Making our approach as Hong Kong begins to wake up. Pretty decent weather compared to the usual haze.
Inbound, same runway we departed from in Frankfurt...7L is the order of the morning
Unlike Germany our gate was open this time, had a boost from a tailwind and made it in 45 minutes early. Time now is 7:05 AM and everyone is more then happy to get off the aircraft after the long 10.3 hours in the air.
Will be spending quite a bit of time in Asia. Checking the progress of my massive AI project. Just finished Shanghai airlines today. Trying to decide who to work on next. For some reason I'm obsessed with getting my Asian AI up and going before the rest of the world. Just have a couple small airlines buzzing about Europe at the moment, and a couple Russian airlines to add a little spice to the aircraft types
