Tore apart a Saitek AV8R joystick, managed to get 12 momentary switches, 5 pots, a 3 way mode switch, and an 8 way POV hat switch. I am happy to say that I completely managed to dismantle the whole thing without breaking a single piece. Even better, when I rewired it all back to the main card with the USB cord coming out of it, it still registered every single item when I hooked it back up to the computer.

I'll attach a few pictures. I guess now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with all this stuff and get started building something!

I know it's not much, especially not compared to the work of some here, but I am edging ever closer to really getting some "custom" hardware built, and I am pretty excited about it.

Thanks!

The first step on the long journey of building a flight simulator has been taken... There is no turning back now!
